The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have pushed up the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints in the world, one service is taking benefit of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It’s set up the Middle East’s very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It’s showing successful too, currently their client-list contains McDonald’s.
